BOND PROJECTS - PROPOSITION A

MASTER ARCHITECT
tBP Architecture is gathering and reviewing campus needs data, meeting with the College Planning Committee, and assessing planning concepts.

LIBRARY
Contract negotiations are in progress with Paul Murdoch Associates, and programming planning should start in late July.

MEDIA ARTS
Programming has begun and will continue through the fall semester. The Building User Group (BUG) meets Fridays at 11:30 a.m.

ALLIED HEALTH / SCIENCES
Anshen + Allen - Los Angeles has been selected as programming architect and contract negotiations are in progress. The BUG meets Fridays at Noon.

NORTH GYM COMPLEX
Programming consultant FKG Architects and campus project manager URS meet with BUG members Tuesdays at 1 p.m.

EXISTING BUILDING MODERNIZATION
URS is researching an implementation plan for the refurbishment and modernization of existing classroom buildings. The project will begin in late summer or early fall and continue through 2003.

RESTROOM MODERNIZATION
URS also is continuing to prepare an implementation plan for modernizing restrooms campus-wide. Construction of upgrades and improvements will start this fall and continue through 2003.

STUDENT SERVICES CENTER
The Student Services BUG will select a programming consultant in mid-July.

NON-BOND FACILITIES PROJECTS

ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AIR CONDITIONING
The southeast wing is receiving four new units and digital controls, the north side is getting three new units with digital controls, and the mailroom will have a new unit with digital controls. Existing units in good condition will not be replaced, but digital controls will be installed.

PLUMBING
Several worn out hydraulic control valves are being replaced with electronic valves, and control clock locations are being changed to connect with the new conservation equipment between Math Science and Business Journalism. Trenching for pipes and wiring should be completed before the Summer Session begins.
